Winter Retreat!

Went to the Great Wolf Lodge @ Niagara Falls before Christmas. It was a great winter retreat! Everything is under one roof, with 84-degree (according to them, we didn't measure it =) indoor water park; over 100,000 square feet of water activity, as well as kids activities like magic quest, story time... truly everything you need within a few steps away! .

Xandar, Smile!

"Xandar, Smile!"... This is the master piece of Tim. Annabelle concurred it, or should I say encouraged it...

A while back we went to a Chinese cafe near our house, we have been visiting there ever since we moved to the east, all waiters know us well. As they were saying how time flies, it seems yesterday when I carried Xandar in my belly, now almost in a blink of the eye, he is running around. Every time we visit, they come around and play with Xandar. Unfortunately they all speak Chinese, and the only person can respond to them on our table is me... So to avoid the rudeness of Xandar not responding... Tim told him: "Xandar, if anyone comes toward you and speaks the language you don't understand, just smile, OK?"

Took a couple of practice, now whenever you say... "Xandar, Smile!", you will see this face. It works 200% of the time, doesn't matter what he's doing. Knowing Tim, you know he is going to take it to the next level... so of course, he uses this phrase like... when he gets annoyed, gets bored, or just for kicks... Annabelle does exactly the same as his dad... Like Father, Like Daughter!!!

Xandar, push me...

 Daddy: "Xandar, push me."

Xandar: "..... Stuck!"

Xandar: "Bella, Help!"

Bella: "1, 2, 3.... Push!"

This is the aftereffect of Xandar pushing Bella... Bad Daddy... Poor kids.. :(

This is how we play Hide-n-Seek... .^_^.

Every time I open this closet, Xandar drops his toys and runs over to stick his head in between the pants and says: "Gone... Gone..." If you reply: "Oh, where did Xandar go? Anyone seen Xandar?" he will laugh and back out saying "Boo"...!!! 

Soooooo funny!!!

Deerhurst Resort

Took the whole family to the Deerhurst Resort during the labor day weekend, it is about two hours north of Toronto in Ontario's Muskoka region. The lakeside hotel was the central venue of the 36th G8 summit in 2010, it is also where we stayed.

Beeeaaauuutiful golf courses, we just wish the Canada Geese weren't sharing it with us... sighhh!

 

Stand Up Paddle Boards - Something new to everyone, the activity is rapidly growing, it mixes surfing and paddling, you will see them everywhere on lakes or rivers. Surprisingly, it is very easy to learn.

 Waterfront Spalsh Zone!!! Supposed to be the country's largest inflatable park on the water! It has inflatables bouncing trampolines, climbing walls, slides and 'walk the plank", a 14 ft "Iceberg", a children's play area and a larger layout for the older kids and the never growing up kind... a.k.a. Tim... =)

It is CRAZY!!! and FUN ^_^

Summer Vacation 2012 - San Diego Zoo

The 100-acre (40-hectare) Zoo is home to over 3,700 rare and endangered animals representing more than 650 species and subspecies, and a prominent botanical collection with more than 700,000 exotic plants. It is located just north of downtown San Diego in Balboa Park.

The San Diego Zoo has been a pioneer in building "cageless" exhibits. It is one of the few zoos in the world that houses the giant panda. It also has the largest number of koalas outside of Australia.
