Québec is a province in the central and eastern regions of Canada. It's the only Canadian province with a predominantly French-speaking population and the only one whose sole official language is French at the provincial level. Québec is Canada's largest province by area. It's known for its vast wilderness of lakes, rivers, forests and mountains - but mostly, for its hospitable French culture. From the cobblestone streets of Old Québec City to the ski hills of the Laurentian, there's always something to explore in Québec! The wall is the original barrier of the old Québec city (the city within the walls). The beautiful structure daddy and I am looking at is the hotel we stayed - Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. The old Québec Funicular (almost vertical elevator) we took to go down to the water front, out of the old Québec city. Oh did I mention, there are only about 5 ways to get in or out of the Haute-Ville (Upper Town) to the Basse-Ville (Lower Town).
